Galerie Old Chelsea’s always-popular Christmas Market opens on November 4!

 

Join us December 7th from 10am to 1pm for cookies and hot chocolate! 

 

We’ve made a big effort this year to bring in many new local artisans with a stunning selection of great and unique treasures. Come and enjoy our welcoming Christmas shopping experience in our beautiful Galerie, offering locally-made works, where an artist is always available for a friendly chat or to help you pick out the perfect gift.

 

Our unique gift ideas made by local artisans include:

 

• unique and functional pottery bowls, mugs & vases, using sgraffito & other fascinating techniques.

• Beautiful hand-spun handbags and some with recycled materials

• two-feet tall Christmas trees made of driftwood

• wooden charcuterie ski tips made by a local wooden ski maker, with railroad spikes to remind us of our well-loved steam train.

• blown and stained-glass panels & decorations.

• wearable art textiles including silk and wool scarves, all handcrafted with care, each piece an original work of art; 

• large and small wooden sculptures & other objects such as bowls all showing the beauty of wood;

• sandstone ceramic sculptures of charming little figures including garden sculptures;        

• hand spun wool spun into beautiful creatures, dolls and animals, one-of-a-kind toys, reminiscent of an old-world era; 

• unique full-sized colourful crocheted dolls

• small original paintings by our Galerie artists; and of course,

• Christmas cards made by our very own Galerie artists.
