Denise Guillemette

Denise is a contemporary painter whose impressionistic and whimsical style brings animals, nature, and tender emotional moments to life. Drawing from childhood memories and the vibrant energy of the natural world, she creates works infused with light, atmosphere, and expressive colours. 

She holds a Baccalaureate in Visual Arts from Université Laval,Quebec, following earlier studies in architecture. Her career spans architectural design, graphic design, and a decade of teaching oil and acrylic painting. Today, she is dedicated full time to her studio practice and continues to offer specialized workshops in colour theory and perspective.

Defined by lively brushstrokes, warm palettes, and a focus on mood over strict realism, Denise’s paintings feature stripped down yet eloquent compositions that form a refined visual language. Her work often evokes a gentle, uplifting, almost storybook quality—capturing movement, emotion, and a sense of shared delight. Active and recognized in both Quebec and Ontario, Denise is an award winning artist whose works are held in private collections across Canada and internationally.
