I live and work in Ottawa, Ontario, creating contemporary paintings using predominently acrylics and/or mixed media.  As a retired psychologist my work is about

self exploration and the role of the unconcious in my life.  I may start with an idea or image in mind, but more often than not the painting may reveal an entirely different process that is unfolding.  Sometimes I feel like a conduit, where energy seems to flow through me onto the painting surface.   I welcome the unknown, and marvel at the suprises that appear.    My work has changed a great deal over the past years, and as I change and am challenged by life, I am sure my work will reflect these transformations.
